On sunshiny mornings, we go shadow catching.
Inside, outside, in our home and in our neighbourhood, shadows dance around us from morning through to night.
Our shadows are so tall, then small, then tall again in sunlight, lamplight and even in the moonlight.
A wonderful picture book about playfulness and the joy of light and movement.

Review
A boy and his little sister Ama love to play shadow catchers. They’re amazed by the way their shadows stretch, shrink, and get bigger and smaller in different lights. At the playground, the boy runs after his sister’s shadow as she plays on the swings, and later she decides to feed her shadow a strawberry. At night Ama is scared of her shadow—but as the little boy points out, even teddys have shadows!
A sweet, dreamy and whimsical exploration of the wonder of shadows and light, childhood, and noticing the little things in life that we often take for granted. Soft-toned watercolour illustrations bring the children and their shadows to life, showing the joy of play and discovery. A great conversation starter for light and shadow which could lead into activities involving shadow puppets!
