Jack has a brand new book to read, and he’s found the perfect reading spot—a lovely big tree, just for him! But every time he tries to settle in and read, Jack is interrupted—by a real wild animal!
Jack enjoys playing with each new animal friend, but he eventually asks each one to leave; after all, this is his tree, not theirs! He eventually realises that being all by himself is is very own tree isn’t as much fun as he thought. Spending time with friends and doing things together is, in fact, much, much better!
A beautiful story about friendship, showing readers how much more fun it can sometimes be to share and spend time with friends instead of always keeping things for yourself.
The story uses repetition and a fun rhyming scheme to great effect, perfectly lending itself to being read aloud. The illustrations are breathtaking, with each page full of beautiful, sweeping colours, adorable animals, and hidden details, making for a gorgeous and engaging picture book experience.
