Money Habitudes for Teens gets high school students to talk about money in a fun, non-threatening way. The hands-on conversation starter and money personality assessment helps teens understand their own unique spending habits and attitudes that affect their financial decisions.Geared for teens (ages 14-18), the money personality cards are used like money management games. Money Habitudes for Teens is often used in high school classes (economics and personal finance, psychology, business, history, etc.), after-school and youth programs, as well as job readiness seminars and life skills seminars. The cards are part of the Money Habitudes high school financial literacy curriculum (USA), which won a 2012 Excellence in Financial Literacy Education Award from the Institute for Financial Literacy.Effective money management is really about making choices, balancing impulsive behaviour, seeking acceptance, avoiding rejection and feeling empowered to plan for the future. The positive way the cards present these issues help teens develop a healthy relationship with money so they are able to use their financial skills more successfully to manage money now and in the future.
