    Review

Hal has been having ‘cheesemares’ —terrible nightmares that seem to be caused by the cheese he eats before going to bed! Determined to stop the Cheesemares once and for all, Hal and his dog Rufus begin their investigation at the cheese store, where they discover that all the different cheeses Hal ate before having a cheesemare came from the same place: Contessa von Udderstein’s (not-at-all-evil) House of Cheese!

Hal and Rufus journey to the House of Cheese, only to discover that it’s being run by cows…evil cows! After being captured and taken to the Contessa, the most evil cow of them all, Hal and Rufus make a daring escape and cause the House of Cheese to blow up in the process, foiling the evil bovine’s plans once and for all!

With a hilariously executed premise and fun, witty illustrations to accompany it, this is a very funny story about cheese, nightmares, and evil cows. A delightful romp for younger readers (and older readers too!).
