Blue Jasper’s younger brother and sister, twins Indigo and Violet, have always been a little…odd. They’re just a bit too smart, a bit too fast, and more than a bit too much trouble! When they run off into the woods one day, leaving Blue and their mother Juliette behind, Blue finally learns the truth—the twins aren’t actually human, and the family has somehow been transported into the Faerie Woods. 

Indigo and Violet are the faerie children of the mysterious and intimidating Olea, the queen of a realm called Nearwood. Olea charged Juliette with caring for Indigo and Violet and keeping them in the human world to protect them from other faeries who wanted to kidnap them. With the deal broken, however, Olea declares that unless the twins are recovered by sunset, Juliette will die as payment.

Determined to save his mother, Blue travels into the Crosswood, the intermediary realm between the human and faerie worlds. Along the way he meets new faerie friends, uncovers hidden secrets about the twins’ true parentage, and ultimately manages to thwart the evil Olea and banish her to a distant part of the faerie world. Having reunited his family, life goes back to normal…well, sort of. After all, nothing will ever really be normal again, not with two faeries as siblings!
