Angelica just can’t help herself! In this third book in the series, Angelica, aka Jelly, is confused for a junior reporter and decides to make the most of her mistaken identity to learn what it’s like to be a real journalist.

Jelly and her bestie, Joon, are soon busy with problems at the new library, trouble in the lap lane at the local pool and a predicament in a rare-book room. With her keen observational abilities and a knack for creative solutions, Jelly soon has more than enough material for an article. But will she be able to keep up the ruse when a new friend starts nosing around?

    Review

Angelica, also known as Jelly, is having trouble with lying again. When she and her best friend Joon meet Eloise at the opening of the new library, Angelica assumes the identity of Angelica Ledoux, the reporter who wrote the article Eloise is reading. In her adventures as Angelica Ledoux, Junior Reporter, Jelly uses her ingenuity to fix a squeaky returns chute and find Eloise’s mother’s missing earring in the public pool.

When the real Angelica Ledoux turns up at the library, Eloise and Joon are frustrated by Jelly’s pathological lying. Jelly apologises, and when the rare books room floods, it’s Jelly’s love of storytelling and fixing things that saves the day with the help of Ledoux’s pug Plug.

Jelly is forgiven for her fibs, and an impressed Ledoux offers to mentor her in journalism — she hardly needs help making up tall tales!

A fun, easy read about the consequences of lying, healthy outlets for creativity, and the importance of apologising.
